Marking Items as InSight, Important, or Interesting

You can mark any item in the search results or Browse My Computer with the InSight, Important, or Interesting categories so that you can easily refer back to them later.

An item may belong to any number of categories. For example, an item may be marked as both Important and Interesting. When you select an item, Logicle Secretary indicates the categories that the item is associated with by highlighting the icons for those categories in the Functions pane. The icons for the categories that the item are not associated with are not highlighted.

When you click on a category icon that is not highlighted (that means that the currently selected item does not belong to that category), it then becomes highlighted, indicating that that item now belongs to that category.

Click again on the icon to remove the currently selected item from that category.

To refer back to the items that you have marked, you can click on the categories they belong to in the Work Organiser.

Here’s how you may want to use the different categories. You can use InSight for the items that you are currently working on. Important can be used for items that are important but not currently being worked on (so they don’t belong in InSight). Finally, Interesting can be used for items that are just generally interesting but are not important at the moment. You may want to categorize these items further into groups later. The groups feature is one of the most powerful and innovative features of Logicle Secretary. It can streamline the way you work with the information on your computer.
